Marit has come to stay with us in Tønsåsen for a few days, and in addition to some very nice red wine, she brought two pairs of skis and splendid weekend weather. On Saturday we started a bit late and went for a short trip up Vågnesdalen to Bakvatnet. Even if the valley is avalanche safe, we were more or less on our own, with no tracks beyond the BUL cabin. Yesterday, however, we were ready for a 'proper' trip. And with two cars there were plenty of options. Favouring flat(ish) landscape, we decided to start from Snarbyeidet and ski south to Nonsbu via Trollvassbu. After a somewhat late 'fiskegryte' lunch at Nonsbu, we then continued down to Tønsvika where Marit's car waited for us. Wonderful day. Perfect snow. Fantastic weather. Great winter feeling!
