Christmas is approaching and suddenly we've already passed the longest night of the year. From now on, the days will slowly get brighter again, until the sun finally creeps above the horzion on January 21st. We spend our days slowly getting ready for the festive season. Klaus has baked his lebkuchen and cut down a nice big pine for the front terrace, I've baked and filled a stack of lefse. The pepperkake hearts are ready for window decoration and the three king incence is waiting in its little box. Now, the only thing missing is a fresh layer of proper snow, to cover the user-unfriendly remnants of last week's 'kakelina'.

Winter solstice
