Back home

Having been away almost continuously since April, I can now finally settle back into the everyday life of Tønsåsen again. What a pleasure that is! The lambs have become almost as big as their mothers, and last week, ten of Bertha's eggs hatched. The chicks grow amazingly fast and Hillary's cage will soon be too small. The plan now is to build something bigger in Hillary's garden, so that they have some protection against predators come autumn. Gimpy, the proud father, has become extremely social this summer, taking part in all of our outdoor activities, greeting Tønsåsen visitors and asking for breadcrumbs whenever we eat breakfast on the front terrace. Human sleeping patterns, on the other hand, is something he finds hugely overrated. Lately, we've had our wake-up kykelikys around 4:30am...
