Constitution day was a rainy event in northern Norway this year, which is good for spring progress but not so good for scores of dressed-up children intent to stay outdoors and eat bucketloads of ice cream and pølse. In Tønsåsen we kept a low celebration profile, less the compulsory flag on the pole and Kristin's Lukket valnøtt - a marzipan and cream cake that there is no way around on søttendemai (in Kristin's mind).
