Sometimes it is impossible to relax and go for a stroll and stick to the idea of keeping the seventh day sacred. All we could see from the breakfast table on Sunday was a sheep house badly in need of a stroke of paint and its last bit of roofing. Sometimes it's also impossible to adjust your plans to an autumn sky that says "stay indoors and read a book or something". So with heavy showers at regular intervals and imaginary churchgoers' disapproving shrugs, Klaus fitted the rest of the roof while I painted two walls barn red. Sometimes, the wonderful comfort of dry clothes in the evening - not to mention dry hay! - can lead to you believe you've been forgiven...
