The seagull egg in the nesting box next to the barbeque platform has finally hatched! A tiny and very cute seagull chick is now being ferociously guarded by the couple that have taken shifts sitting on the egg for the last month.

A small piece of arctic paradise between fjell and fjord
Welcome
Tønsåsen is a peaceful place just north of Tromsø in northern Norway. The small farm is the home of Klaus and Kristin, the two cats Sofus and Lisa, the five viking sheep Elke, Inga, Ida, Isabella and Albert, and their seven lambs (Isak, Ilse, Else, Elling, August, Asta, and Olle), as well as four geese called Espen, Gerd, Lotte and Liv. In Tønsåsen we try to live by principles of sustainability and solidarity, so that the footprint finally left behind is as small as possible.
