As we drove to town yesterday, Klaus added a new word to his Norwegian vocabulary. While 'sludd' means watery snow coming from above, he learned that the slush we were driving-skidding through is referred to as 'slaps'. There is one worrying aspect here, and it's certainly not Klaus' language skills. It's all the SLAPS everywhere. The mild weather we've had over the past few days is typical of November, not mid-February! Here's a picture of how it should be (and was a week ago). Fingers crossed this remains the norm and that Klaus doesn't need to learn more autumn words in deepest wintertime.
