Yesterday, our colleague and friend Nina successfully defended her doctoral thesis "Psykiatrien som flyttet ut i bygda. En analyse av hva som skjedde da psykiatriske hjelpere skulle bidra til brukernes innlemmelse blant folk i bygda". After her engaging lecture and wonderful defence, we were ready for a barbeque party in Tønsåsen. Around fifty people celebrated Nina's achievement and it turned out to be quite an amazing evening.
First of all we were incredibly lucky with the weather! Then, Nina's friends had organised everything from Nepalese decorations to delicious food and drinks. And we sang songs and some said a few words, and then we went quadruple-tandem ski racing across the grassy field and people fell over laughing. Most of all, though, I think we were extremely happy and excited on Nina's behalf! Cheers, Doctor Nina! Your achievement is an inspiration!
